People Operations strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Google has revolutionized search. We are helping to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Googlers.

You'll be an advocate of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organizations and make sure all people decisions are based on data.

Whether coaching our clients on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues or managing programs that help develop our Googlers, you are exceptionally focused on putting them first, and being as clear and transparent as possible to help Googlers understand how people decisions get made.

As Google grows, so do the operational, compliance risks, and cultural nuances in the markets, sites, countries, and regions. To address these the Market Human Resource (HR) teams offer a structured, location-based approach for delivering market priorities.

  • In this role, you will set the marketspecific Human Resources (HR) strategies for Google's local workforce to identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks, grow culture, and handle unique people challenges. You will build and own relationships within People Operations and across site leadership to develop and execute the market plans and bring HR business knowledge working in the market. You will work seamlessly across multiple HR partners and business stakeholders to collaborate as needed to represent the needs of Google. You will drive decisions that are good for Google and bring partners along.

Responsibilities:

  • Own creation and delivery of France and Belgium Market Human Resource Plan. Execute largescale programs across an evolving, and sometimes ambiguous, ecosystem. Build partnerships with Legal, Compliance, Employee, and Labour Relations teams to create forwardlooking solutions.
  • Establish strong relationships with industry forums, networks, governments, labor/works council, unions. Partner with Site Leads and Country Manager locally.
  • Identify local employment and compliance risks; partner with critical stakeholders to timely resolve issues. Balance strategic and tactical work, diving on risk identification and resolution, to inform and drive the people's plan in France and Belgium.
  • Lead People Operations related audits and regulatory reviews initiated by local governments and external entities to ensure compliance.
  • Lead Market Human Resource Specialists team.
