Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled BI Engineer/Developer specializing in MicroStrategy to join our team in the digital factory of the B&B HOTELS group.

The Digital Factory is a team of more than 30 people passionate about using technology to improve our customers' hotel experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering consolidated reporting for the group while also addressing the specific needs of individual countries.

Your primary objective will be to understand the intricacies of the hospitality business, leveraging data from both the DataLake and DataWarehouse to develop comprehensive reports and dashboards.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the semantic layer within MicroStrategy to ensure consistent and meaningful data representation across the organization.

You will report to the BI Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Integration and Modeling:Utilize data from the DataLake and DataWarehouse to develop integrated data models within MicroStrategy. Ensure data accuracy and relevance for reporting purposes.

Report and Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards tailored to the needs of both the group and individual countries. Incorporate interactive visualizations and user-friendly interfaces to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Semantic Layer Management: Maintain and enrich the semantic layer within MicroStrategy to provide a unified and understandable view of data across the organization.

Collaboration and Support:Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments. Provide technical support and guidance to users for report customization, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Skills & experience we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience working with MicroStrategy as a BI Engineer, Developer, or Administrator.
Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and extraction from relational databases.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience in developing reports and dashboards using MicroStrategy or similar BI tools.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Qualifications

Required
2+ years of experience as BI Engineer / Developer
Strong experience with SQL
