Position overview:


As Customer Technical Service and Research and Development Engineer you will be actively involved in the customer relationships and provide technical support for aluminium bottle and aerosol product lines.

You will support the Research and Development Leader in his region to execute on the innovation project opportunities and assume on demand responsibility for Project management of one entire project for the division, being the interface between different functions internally and externally, as well as define all technical and organisational aspects needed for the internal trials.

The role is responsible for connecting with Beverage Research and Development team globally, performing Aerosol cans and bottles technical drawing and providing technical expertise.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Manage the customer relations and provides technical support to beverage and personal care customer
  • Coordinate and implement filling line trials on customer sites to qualify our bottles and aerosols
  • Work closely with Quality department in order to bring the best solutions to customers
  • Report the results of the trial to relevant contacts within Ball
  • Audit customer filling facilities/warehouses for problems which may result in reduction in filling speed, damage to bottles or aerosols
  • Carry out trials and analyse data and potential issue
  • Propose some technical solutions to solve the technical issues
  • Liaise with customer in order to provide a mutually acceptable specification
  • Be able to assist and cooperate with the customer on order to provide a troubleshooting activity and define the root cause of the problem

Experience required:


  • Engineering or other Technical degree
  • Prior experience in the field of Research and Development Management, Technical Project Management or Technical Management and preferably in personal care, pharmaceutical or food/beverage packaging industries
  • Microsoft Office and Minitab
  • Experience in glass bottles (capping process) or can filling lines
  • Technical Customer Services
  • Fluent French/Spanish and English language
