The R&D centers on the Maizières campus rely on the Shared Services Unit to achieve their strategic and operational objectives within the ArcelorMittal group.

The Technical Services contribute by providing researchers with the necessary resources in the fields of Mechanics, Electricity, Automation and Electronics, New Works, IT, Pilot Equipment Operation and General Services, thus ensuring the smooth running of the site.


Your role

As an Engineering project leader you:

  • Ensure that project management methodologies are applied throughout all phases of the project.
  • Carry out studies, draw up schedules and budgets, select potential suppliers during the prestudy phase (feasibility, functional and technical design) and participate in the drafting of the investment file.
  • Manage the implementation of investment projects (study phase, assembly phase, testing phase, right through to equipment commissioning).
  • Express resource requirements, assign team roles and missions in relation to available resources.
  • Carry out and coordinate benchmarks (investment file and/or during the project implementation phase), compare and evaluate technical solutions and seek improvements.
  • Define purchasing strategy (technical alignment and validation of supplier choices with purchasing).
  • Monitor the preparation and validation of technical documents (technical specifications, drawings, calculation notes, etc.),
  • Ensure the quality and conformity of work carried out and documentation (safety approach and equipment conformity: CE conformity, legal and regulatory conformity, etc.).
  • Manage and ensure safety on site and compliance with environmental regulations (PdP, audit, authorizations, etc.), be responsible for project completion (endofproject report, etc.).

Your profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in General Engineering with a focus on mechanics.
  • You benefit from a first experience in a similar position.
  • You have solid technical skills.
  • You are advanced in English.
  • In addition to your technical skills, you enjoy working in the field.
  • You are openminded and have good interpersonal skills.
  • You have crossfunctional management skills, with leadership and the ability to mobilize.
  • You are organized, rigorous, constructive and able to analyze and summarize.
