The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA, is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.

The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services.


Our comprehensive services include:

proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.


We are looking for a
Customer Support Engineer to support our customers with current and future installed semiconductor tools at customer site.


We are hiring experienced engineers and will also consider recent graduates provided they demonstrate a strong hands-on competence and a desire to succeed.

Travel Involved:While the role involves supporting mainly in the Grenoble area, there is a possibility of traveling up to 20% of the time, primarily to the south of France or Paris area for critical escalations.


Major responsibilities:


  • Successful applicants will be formally trained at one of our awardwinning training centers in California, USA or, Singapore or Taiwan.
  • Domestic and international travel is required on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for customer service activities associated with updating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of highly complex capital equipment at customer sites.
  • Be the face of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction with our service and maintaining the operational quality of system equipment.
  • Coordinates actions with customers to minimize down time.
  • Provides assistance to Installation Engineers in resolving problems. weekend majority of the time.

What you will bring:


  • Certified engineer or degree from advanced technical school or ~3 years industry working experience. Technical military occupational specialties and training may be considered.
  • Ability to understand and tackle problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electromechanical and/or electrooptical systems to address on site customer problems.
  • Experience working on electronic systems within semiconductor, medical devices, defense, aerospace, or aviation industry is a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proven track record of engaging empathetically with customers, ensuring a positive experience, while fostering a collaborative environment to address their needs and concerns.
  • Driven to be handson and passionate about learning new things.
  • Proactive communication that facilitates seamless collaboration and address customer requirements effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years'.
  • Fluent in English and French language is a must. English C1+ is preferred.
  • Full driver's license.
