Labeling Project Manager


We are looking for an experienced Labeling Project Manager to join our Stryker Trauma & Extremities division As this is a Global function and you would work hybrid, you can be based in France (Montbonnot/Grenoble) or Ireland (Cork).


The Labeling Project Manager reports to the Labeling Manager of the Labeling Program and Project Management Team within the T&E division.

The Labeling Project Manager is accountable for achieving the objectives of assigned labeling projects and is responsible for all aspects of the assigned projects, from initiation to completion, including the definition of project goals, priorities and resources needs.

The Labeling Project Manager leads a cross-functional team in a matrix organization aiming to complete labeling related projects, and interfaces with all stakeholders affected by the project, including end users.


What You Will Do:

Scope includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Development and maintenance of project strategies, roadmaps, and plans for the assigned labeling projects.
  • Definition of projects goals, priorities, and resource requirements.
  • Lead the project team in the development of the project charter and management plan. Direct, manage, monitor, and control assigned labeling related projects.
  • Meet with projects stakeholders to understand and refine projects scope, review with manager for approval. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical path and major workstreams.
  • Contribute to the projects budget estimation, monitoring, and attainment throughout the projects lifecycle.
  • Responsible for the formation of the project team, assignment of individual responsibilities and setting of expectations in accordance with the project plan, to align the stakeholders and team members.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs. Keeps the project plan accurate, updated, and reflective of authorized changes.
  • Leads the identification, assessment, monitoring, and closure of project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop a Stakeholder management plan for the assigned projects, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of stakeholders expectations.
  • Develop and execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Measure the project performance and monitors the progress of the project; identifies and quantifies any variances, performs any required corrective actions, and communicates to all stakeholders.

What You Need:


  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
  • PMP or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a labeling, regulatory or quality role with Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing companies.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with Project Management responsibilities in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of endtoend processes for the development and implementation of labeling deliverables (e.g. labels, instructions for use, patient information, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience and indepth knowledge of project management tools for tracking and managing status, scope, resource capacity, project risks and KPI reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standards and requirements (global and/or local) for medical device labeling and Quality Management Standards (e.g. Medical Device Regulation, 21 CFR Part 820, ISO
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
  • Fluent English (writing & speaking).
  • Ability to maintain control of stressful situations, to manage project challenges with discipline and to facilitate the resolution of conflicts between key project stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and manage competing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to pursue goals to completion when faced with demanding timelines.
  • Excellent effective communication and presentation skills (individual, group, facilitation, leadership and communication planning).
