The business development unit Digital and Controls (D&C) is responsible for the development of advanced controls and system management solutions for the BDR climate products including heat pumps, gas heated & electrical boilers, solar solutions, and cooling solutions.

As part of this portfolio of products, we offer apps and portals to better install, service, maintain and monitor our products.

Customer focus is one of the development pillars of BDR Thermea to make more impactful products. As the user experience team (6), we support this initiative by helping teams truly understanding the users' needs. You will be working as part of the app and portal development team.

We are looking for a user experience designer with at least four years of experience as a designer and experienced in understanding and communicating with users and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has the courage of your convictions, is ambitious and wants to develop further.

Your mission is to support the development team in designing and building products that integrate well in the working environment and journey of our users, while at the same time optimizing the capability of these users to work better with products of BDR Thermea and all of its brands.

Together with the UX team, your designs will be aligned with our other products.

This is what we see as your role

As the UX designer you will help the development team to go through all the Design Thinking stages to understand the users, facilitate the generation and capturing of ideas, such as a design sprint.

You use user testing as a tool to validate ideas and concept in time to ensure the right things are being built.

You are the primary responsible to involve users and their needs in the product design process, to share this knowledge with the team, and to validate concepts early in the development stage.

An important part of your job is to involve and align with stakeholders across many countries.

As a UX designer at BDR Thermea you are working as part of a multi-disciplinary development team, while at the same time being backed by a **UX design team who help each other in being and becoming better UX designers. You will be working on digital products (apps and websites) for a large variety of users, including installers, maintenance engineers and users from small and large service businesses in many regions across Europe and Asia.

Recruit end users from several countries to learn from and validate concepts with
Understanding the users' way of working and their environment
Design user friendly UIs matching the product and fitting the BDR design system
Build wireframes to communicate and validate interaction designs
Identify and include/update stakeholders in the (design) decision process
Align designs with other Digital & Controls products
Collaborating as a member of a lean and agile development team
