We are looking for an intern for our Ethics and Compliance (E&C) department.

Within the E&C team, you will participate in the development and implementation of the compliance program & processes dedicated to international sanctions regulations and export control regulations.

You will be in charge of the following missions:

Involvement in the development/improvement of ALSTOM internal program related to "international sanctions & export control" (drafting of instructions, guidelines and development of processes etc ). To that end, liaise with the necessary other functions within the group.
Development of our dedicated Sharepoint E&C page. This page aims at informing all ALSTOM employees on applicable laws and regulations and ALSTOM internal rules and processes.
Preparation of internal communication tools.
Legal research on trade sanctions and export controls.

PROFILE

Educational level:

Master 2 level student or recent graduate (or equivalent) in international business law or student lawyer
Previous experiences in law firms and/or international companies

Technical skills:

Strong legal competencies (with a focus on international business law), ideally with some knowledge and experience in international sanctions/ export control.
Excellent English language skills

Behavioral skills:

Dynamic, curious, reactive
Real interest in working on these compliance matters (i.e., trade sanctions/export control).
Excellent interpersonal skills. The intern will have many interactions with other functions within the group (Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance etc )

6-months internship with a start date in February 2023
