Your work environment:


Within the Group, you will join the
Group Investment & ALM department whose role is to drive investment strategy and implementation across the Group.

The team works closely with the investment teams of AXA entities as well as investment managers, including AXA IM, to deploy capital across asset classes.

Overseeing more than €500 billion in assets under management ("AuM"), Group Investment is organized into four teams (around 65 professionals) under the leadership of the Group Chief Investment Officer


Within this Department, you will be part of the Group Investment & ALM Monitoring team which includes the planning and monitoring of investments across the Group, the steering of ALM position notably on interest rates and capital management related to investments, the steering and monitoring of investment income across entities and coordination with central controlling teams


Your job and daily missions:


The main mission of the Junior Analyst is to monitor investment deployment across the Group; enhance and develop new reporting tools

Therefore, the Junior Analyst is expected to:

  • Provide regular updates on investment performance and budget execution
  • Participate to monthly clearance meetings with entities
  • Participate to forecasting, financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Industrialize existing reporting and contribute to develop new axes of analysis and KPIs
  • Coordinate and deliver ad hoc analyses (e.g., benchmarking, deep dives into asset classes / business)

The main activities of the Junior Analyst include:

  • Monitoring of investments (monthly)
  • Consolidate data from internal and external sources to provide clear and complete view of investments realized every month on all asset classes
  • Participate to clearance meetings with entities, to clarify rational of investment actions and underlying business dynamics. Manage minutes of those discussions
  • Analyze and challenge the information reported by the entities. Identify and report the risks and uncertainties that could materially impact the results of the entities / Group
  • Prepare support documents synthetizing monthly investment activity to be presented to top management at the Group Investment Committee
  • Investment Plan budget (twice a year)
  • Participate to the construction of Group investment plan giving guidance for annual investment strategy
  • Consolidate inputs from entities and manage the aggregation of data
  • Participate to clearance with central and local investments teams, including CIOs
  • Simplification of reporting tools and process
  • Simplify & automatize the tool used to build the investment plan, including switch from Excel files to data platform
  • Ensure smooth and efficient coordination with other teams at GIA, Risk, Accounting, Controlling, departments to have a consistent view of investment actions and impacts of KPIs (solvency; earnings; liquidity)
  • Take the ownership of one or several transversal process of the team
  • Prepare investmentsrelated reports for internal and external communication, notably Investor Relation presentation twice a year
  • Participate to the Investment Monitoring Center of Expertise to foster effective collaboration across entities and align on common methodologies and tools

Votre profil:


  • Master's degree in Finance, Engineering or Actuary
  • Good understanding of insurance, finance, and accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and VBA required; knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of how to distil down complex information
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (working language)
  • Team spirit and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
