Job Summary:
We are presently recruiting a Technical Support and Training Europe, to support the product-lines success by providing both technical support & training to customers in order to increase our sales in the defined area.
He/she will work in collaboration with the European Technical Support & training team, the European Sales Team, & the Product Management team.
Immediate Supervisor:
Technical Support and Training manager, and functional link with the Director of Sales Europe.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Technical Support
- Respond to technical questions from customers pertaining to the use of Distech Controls controllers and control systems network management software in a problemsolving context and ensure that customers receive necessary support to solve their problems in a timely fashion.
- Diagnose and resolve problems remotely (online or phone)
- Provide field support, if required.
- Keep up to date with the latest technologies and products in the field related to the Distech controls product line and industry.
Training
- Provide inperson and virtual trainings on Distech Controls products in Europe.
- Contribute to enhance the training content and training material.
Input for Product Management
- Internally, proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs for assigned product lines on an ongoing basis. Identify & prioritize product enhancement opportunities.
- Collaborate with product management by providing the perspective of the customer on the functionality of our products.
Experience (minimum experience required):
- University or College degree from an accredited institution or equivalent with relevant experience in Technical Support, Training, HVAC or Controls.
- Knowledge and relevant experience in HVAC and in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, MBUS and IT/web based communication protocols.
- Knowledge of control system estimating, design, programming and engineering, specifically BACnet.
- Knowledge in IT / IOT technologies
- HTML, OPC, SNMP, REST, MQTT, IP network management and Niagara Framework is an asset.
- Strongly oriented towards customer service satisfaction.
- Proficient in English communication skills: written, oral communication and presentation.
- Knowledge of French language and/or another European language is an asset.
- Ability to communicate with multi/crosscultural environments.
- Ability to multitask and handle various priorities.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment and under tight deadlines.
Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position requires the employee to maintain a homebased office.
- This position requires regular travels within Europe. The employee must hold a valid passport.
