Summary / Role Purpose
Autonomous vehicles will drive millions of kilometers in the virtual world before the first driverless cars hit the road. Ansys is building the AVxcelerate product to design Headlamps and Sensors in the virtual world prior to commercial deployment. We invite you to join the team that enables this disruptive technology.


You assess how well the product meets customer needs both in terms of functionality, usability and performance and ensure that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied as per the company's quality procedures.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and follow validation plans based on functional specifications and use cases
  • Validate and ensure the quality of new features by creating automated tests
  • Improve our testing process by converting existing manual tests into automated tests
  • Test our solutions in a variety of environments: Windows/Linux, Physical Server/VM/Docker, Cloud
  • Report or review and reproduce defects reported by other teams, follow up and verify fixes
  • Perform other duties as assigned to improve the overall quality of Ansys products

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Significant experience with a programming language (ideally C#) and a scripting language (ideally Python)
  • Proficient with Windows and Linux operating systems

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with automation and/or BDD frameworks
  • Basic understanding of software testing and verification processes; ISTQB certifications are an asset
  • Experience working in agile teams following methods like Scrum
  • Experience using defect tracking software such as ADO (TFS), Jira, Bugzilla, or similar
  • A thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to detail and quality; strong analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Docker is an asset
  • Experience with either the Microsoft or Amazon cloud environments is an asset
  • DevOps background is an asset
