About the Studio
Ryan Interior Architecture
is a Paris-based interior architecture and design studio specializing in high-end international residential and hospitality projects.
The studio is currently involved in a highly complex, design-driven private1000 sqm residential project, now entering the construction phase. The project demands a high level of technical rigor, coordination discipline, and respect for an established architectural and interior vision.
The Mission
We are seeking a senior, and highly reliable Project Architect / Design Coordinator to ensure continuity, control, and protection of design intent during a defined construction period.
This role supports the Founder during the maternity leave of the project's design lead and is strictly focused on construction-phase coordination following the issuance of the 100% Construction Documents by the Architect of Record.
This is not a design or concept role.
It is a holding, coordination, and vigilance role.
Core Responsibilities
The Project Architect / Design Coordinator will:
- Review, fully understand, and work from the 100% Construction Documents issued by the Architect of Record
- Act as a design coordination relay during the construction phase
- Track, review, and filter all incoming project information, including:
- RFIs
- Shop drawings
- Consultant inputs
- Site-driven adjustments and constraints
- Identify:
- Technical inconsistencies
- Risks to design intent
- Potential coordination conflicts before they reach site execution
- Prepare clear, structured written summaries and decision logs for the Founder
- Attend coordination meetings and produce concise, factual recaps
- Maintain and update project tracking tools:
- Open points
- Decisions taken
- Pending items
All decisions with design impact are escalated to the Founder

- A creative lead or concept role
- A redesign or reinterpretation role
- A project ownership or partnership role
- A business development or client management role
Required Profile
Experience
- 8–12+ years professional experience
- Proven track record in:
- High-end residential or hospitality projects
- Construction-phase coordination
- Working with architects, consultants, and contractors
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and work from full construction document sets
Skills
- Excellent understanding of construction detailing and coordination logic
- Ability to detect issues before they become site problems
- Strong written communication: clear, structured, concise
- Comfortable escalating questions rather than improvising decisions
- Excellent English (spoken and written)
- French optional; Spanish is a plus
Personal Qualities (Essential)
We are looking for someone who is:

- Able to say and execute:

- Junior profiles requiring close supervision
Contract & Practical Information
- Freelance position
- Duration: aligned with maternity leave coverage (approximately 9 months). The role will begin Monday, 20
th
April 2026, allowing sufficient overlap with the Design Lead to ensure a thorough understanding of the project, documentation, and key project stakeholders before her leave. - This role is initially structured as a 9-month assignment, with potential for prolongation based on demonstrated performance and agency priorities.
- Rhythm: 3–4 days per week but strongly dependent on project's requirements
- Location: in Paris office, with regular coordination calls (international team),
excluding travel
