In our procurement department, you will be part of AGCO global purchasing, working alongside experts in their field.


Job description


As a purchasing project manager you will be the lead project execution of cost reduction Purchasing Projects for defined Commodities across multiple sites and within cross-functional teams as part of our purchasing strategy.

Those projects include Design Change, Resourcing or Make/Buy. You will be in charge of initiating cost reduction projects and following all initial steps.

You will be proactive in maximizing fiscal saving and you will ensure that the timing is respected.

You will be working closely with the Engineering, Quality, Product Development and Materials Management departments.


Job responsibilities

  • Generate new cost reduction ideas or drive idea validation
  • Initiate and manage the cost reduction projects with the appropriate teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.)
  • Conduct cost analysis, calculate business case and project approval
  • Ensure samples and/or tooling Purchase Order and following samples validation
  • Provide support to different buyers to use purchasing project tool effectively
  • Participate in Forecasting, KPI's and reports consolidation

Your profile


Bachelor's or Master's degree, you have a minimum of 3 years' experience working directly in Purchasing/Project in an industrial and international context.


Organized, rigorous and autonomous, your relational and functional skills are a force in the project follow up, the teamwork, the results orientation and the exchanges through the different departments and countries.

Good Excel skills and the ability to calculate supplier cotation or price benchmarks. Experience in ERP-systems, preferably SAP is highly valued.

Excellent communication skills in English are a must, European languages, such as French, German and Italian are a definite plus
