:


  • Provide healthcare professionals with reliable, highquality information on the pharmaceutical products it promotes.
  • To ensure quality promotion in compliance with ethics, pharmaceutical regulations, legal obligations, the Charter of information by canvassing or prospecting for the promotion of medicinal products and the HAS reference framework (March 2017), and the company vision.
  • To contribute to the development of the company.
  • To develop Vertex reputation and image among Health Professionals (HCPs).
Note:

According to the classification of the Vertex group, the Therapeutic Specialist is called KAM internally -However, with regard to the Charter, this term has been translated by "spécialiste thérapeutique" in France.

This role requires around 80% time in field and it will cover the North East area in France.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In compliance with the regulations and internal rules of the company, in particular those related to the Charter of information by canvassing or prospecting aimed at the promotion of medicines (version 2014) and the reference framework of the High Authority for Health (version March 2017), the law on information technology and freedom for data collected concerning the HCPs and those of the law known as the Anti-Gift Law; the Therapeutic Specialist must:


  • Use exclusively the promotional and/or environmental materials listed on the current positive list for any promotional activity with HCPs,
  • Develop relationships with the various healthcare professionals in his/her area
  • Ensure the compliance of the promotional relationships he/she initiates with healthcare professionals,
  • Promote the proper use of medicines in accordance with the Marketing Authorization as well as the rules of ethics and deontology,
  • Answer questions from the HCPs on one or more products (characteristics, contraindications, differential advantages),
  • Undertake not to give any samples, not to set up or participate in the setting up of clinical studies, not to offer or give advantages, gifts or not to offer meals apart from the exceptions provided for by the Charter and by the internal rules.
  • Manage visits as part of an action plan and teamwork.
  • Organize and facilitate professional meetings in accordance with French regulations and internal rules established in the Guidebook France.
  • Gather and process product information from documentation and training sessions to prepare visits and communication actions.
  • Draw up activity reports
  • Carry out the administrative followup of its activities according to the given directives, enter its activity daily in the CRM tool, transmit the balance sheets, followups and reports requested.
  • Establish a competitive watch and report the information to his/her hierarchy
  • Propose and/or develop a sector action plan based on national and regional objectives
  • Embody the core values and leadership behaviors of Vertex
  • Participate in meetings and undertake projects as requested by management.
  • Exercise good judgment and adhere to regulatory and compliance procedures and company policies

EDUCATION:

Diploma of medical visitor or equivalence of authorization to carry out promotional activities as mentioned in the decree of September 29, 1995 supplementing the decree of June 17, 1980 approving titles and diplomas of technological education (Decree of September 17, 1997 setting the training conditions of persons who provide information by promotion or canvassing for drugs -NOR :

EXPERIENCE:


  • Sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Product launch experience strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements inherent to the mission

  • Excellent sales skills with proven performance
