R&D centers on Maizières-lès-Metz campus rely on the Shared Services Unit to achieve their strategic and functional objectives within the ArcelorMittal group.

The Technical Services make their contribution by providing researchers with the necessary means in the fields of Mechanics, Electricity, Automation and Electronics, New Works, Computing, Equipment Operation Pilots or even at the level of General Services, thus ensuring the operation of the site.

As an Engineering project leader you will:

Have the studies carried out, carry out the schedule, the budget, you make the choice of potential suppliers during the pre-study phase (feasibility, functional and technical design) and participate in the drafting of the investment file
Manage the implementation of investment projects (study phase, assembly phase, testing and up to the commissioning of equipment)
Express the resource needs, assign the roles and missions of the team with regard to the resources made available
Carry out and coordinate benchmarks (investment file and/or in the project implementation phase), compare and evaluate technical solutions and seek to make improvements
Define the purchasing strategy (technical alignment and validation with purchases of supplier choices)
Follow the development and validation of technical documents (technical specifications, plans, calculation notes, etc.)
Ensure the quality and compliance of the work carried out and the documentation (safety and equipment compliance approach: CE compliance, legal and regulatory compliance, etc.)
Manage and ensure safety on site and compliance with environmental rules (PdP, audit, authorizations, etc.), are in charge of finalizing the project (end of business report, archiving, lifting of reservations, participation in reliability actions, spare parts if necessary, maintenance plan, etc.)
Report on the progress of business and functionally coordinate the study managers and the Business Experts

Your profile:

You hold a Masters' degree in Mechanic.
You have strong general technical skills.
You have a first experience in the field.
Your mother tongue is French and you are fluent in English.
You are innovative, curious and results oriented.
You have excellent social skills to work in project teams within a multicultural environment and different plant factories.
