Opened in 2016, The Garden Academy (with schools located in 75015, 75007, is a collection of private educational institutions, each composed of a
bi-lingual preschool (English and French languages, ages - 5 years old) and an
after-school enrichment program for English language development (English language, ages years old).

We are currently seeking a dedicated, reliable, and punctual
Preschool Center Assistant to join our team at our 15eme school location (17 Rue Théodore Deck, Paris).


As a Preschool Center Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our young learners.

Under the direction of our School Director as well as in direct collaboration with teaching staff, you will assist in the smooth functioning of all daily operations of our preschool and after-school program.

Your responsibilities will encompass daily tasks related to snack & lunch preparation, classroom organization, light cleaning and laundry, and the overall continued general maintenance of a positive learning environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Snack &

Meal Preparation:

Light preparation of nutritious snacks and lunch for preschool class and afterschool program, following dietary guidelines and ensuring food safety.

Making sure snacks, lunch, and necessary dishes & utensils arrive in classroom/are ready at correct times - as well as assisting with clean-up.


  • Light Cleaning, Laundry and

General Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment by handling daily cleaning tasks to include daily dishes and weekly laundry (machines on-site).

*_We have a daily cleaning service that carries out the major cleaning tasks; however, throughout the day, we need support with spills, after meal clean-up, and art class.

  • Center Organization: Under supervision from School Director and teaching staff, assist in ensuring the center storage spaces and areas are organized, making it a conducive space for teaching, learning, and play.
  • Inventory Management: Track food and materials inventory; update purchase orders to ensure a consistent supply of all necessary items.
  • Classroom Organization/Tidiness: Ensure that the preschool and afterschool spaces are tidy and safe for children. Assist with the organization and tidiness of classroom spaces throughout the day to optimize the learning environment for children.

Qualifications:


  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability and experience in efficiently carryingout snack & meal preparation, light cleaning/janitorial duties, maintaining classroom organization, inventory tracking, and updating purchase orders.
  • At least an intermediate level of spoken English; ability to follow directions and understand instructions in English.
  • Mature, reliable, punctual, flexible.
  • Receptive to task instructions and directions; autonomy in task completion.
  • Experience within educational settings and enjoyment in working with/around children.
  • CPR and First Aid training/certification would be a plus.
  • Immediate availability position to be filled ASAP. Ability to start in September 2023.
