Description
You form the second line of defense within the AXA Group's internal control policy


This means that you:

  • Independently carry out the review and validation of the risk assessment and monitoring of the main risk profile for your region
  • Support the first line of defense in implementing the controls established by the various stakeholders
  • Take care of the execution of control activities of the 2nd line of defense (design and operational effectiveness tests).
  • Provide appropriate reporting of control deficiencies to ensure necessary escalations and implementation of an appropriate action plan
  • Analyse the root cause of incidents and follow up on resulting open action plans with preparation for closure
  • Implement a risk culture and contribute to improving management's understanding of existing risks
  • Act as the contact person for internal and external auditing
  • Support the implementation of internal and external audit recommendations
  • Comply with AXA Group standards and AXA Partners policies and procedures
  • Carry out spot checks and support in ad hoc projects/reviews
  • Attend the local audit, risk and compliance committee that meets regularly
  • Are the main contact for specific departments for local and regional risk management members and central departments and carry out quality checks to ensure consistency across all AXA partners.


This role is ideal for you if you see yourself as a partner to various departments in terms of internal control and risk minimization.

With this understanding, you will spread a risk culture within AXA and improve the understanding of all employees and their awareness of possible risks.

Your day-to-day collaboration will be diverse with local, regional and cross-country interfaces across all functions and departments.

This position can be located either in Cologne Germany Ostrava Czech Republic, Brussels Belgium or Chatillon (Paris) France.


Tvůj Profil

  • At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in internal control or audit and a good understanding of area practices (Big 4 experience is a plus)
  • Good professional language skills in German and English (both written and oral)
  • Critical and analytical thinking, reliable and focused on the quality and swift delivery of results
  • Ability to work independently and organize yourself
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders at various organizational levels, as well as regulators and auditors
  • Professional creation of presentations and documentation
  • Ability and interest in building strong relationships
  • Open to travel.
