THE ROLE


We are looking for a passionate Ethics & Compliance Professional with Legal, and/or Compliance background to join our Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Function, contributing to drive a culture of sustainable business growth in line with our key values, ensuring we exceed the expectations of our customers, and collaborating with other functions to foster an integrated approach to managing ethics & compliance risks.


Acting as a trusted business partner, you are responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continued improvement of E&C strategies for the Company Speak up program worldwide; as well as ensuring a strong business partnership and alignment with other functions.

Reporting to the Head of Ethics & Business Integrity, you are specifically responsible for deploying the Speak-up program, including the driving of the speak-up culture change, conducting the Ethics & Compliance investigations worldwide, managing the Ethics & Compliance Helpline and the compliance investigators network.


As a counsel/risk and/or investigations expert with solid experience in whistleblower protection, and corporate compliance investigations (EU, US, and other jurisdictions) and management of the Speak Up program, you combine superior interpersonal & communication skills with a solid track record in providing pragmatic advice enabling senior management to make strategic and operational decisions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities within your scope will include:


Strategy:

Proactive contribution to the strategy for the ethics & compliance (sub)function and the related compliance program areas.

Where appropriate/required implement, tailor & adjust to local risk, and further develop the strategy and Speak up program.


Core Compliance Program elements:

Accountability by delegation for a given functional scope to ensure core compliance program elements are implemented, continuously improved, and consistently matured as well as delivered with excellence:
Development and ownership of CMA CGM's global speak up program

Development, administration and ownership of CMA CGM's corporate compliance investigations program, confidential reporting structure and speak up culture

Development and implementation of corporate compliance investigation training framework and regional investigation structures


Improve continuously, initiate where needed, design, and support the establishment of standards and related processes based on global policies, all applicable laws and regulations including local industry codes.


Leadership & Continuous development:


Proactively contribute to ensure the team works as a "high performing team", being inspirational leaders for others in the organization.

Ensure self, team members, and the function overall stays abreast of regulations, jurisprudence, best practices, and innovations.


PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Law at least at Master Level; admitted to the bar (EU/US) preferred.


Experience (7+ years) of working in ethics, integrity, compliance, law, or related areas; and at least two years of experience in a global, multijurisdictional, and matrixed environment.

Strong expertise and experience in whistleblower protection, corporate compliance investigations, investigators training, FCPA/UKBA investigations or monitorships.

High proficiency in English, French and ideally proficient in at least one other language.

Strong listening, communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive the implementation of agile and pragmatic solutions.


Experience working in multiple countries, with a proven and diverse cultural understanding, and an experience in consulting with and advising leadership is vital.

You are used to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a varied, dynamic team environment.
