Context:


NXP's Wireless Connectivity group is building the next generation of wireless chipsets for Gaming, IoT, Industrial, automotive and Smart-Home devices.

These chipsets will define ultra-low power, high performance and low latency benchmarks for products that rely on Wi-Fi, BT/BLE and IEEE


To become the #1 chip supplier in wireless connectivity for the IoT market, we are searching for the best talents over the world to join our Wireless Connectivity SW development team within our R&D competence center in CAEN (France).


We are now looking for an embedded SW engineer with a good background on Bluetooth / Bluetooth Low Energy technologies.


Your responsibilities:


  • Design and implement standardbased and proprietary Bluetooth/BLE firmware features
  • Develop or integrate BT/BLE SW stacks into our Linux, Android and FreeRTOS based SDKs
  • Enhance existing firmware and software to support complex Bluetooth/BLE use cases for auto/gaming/IOT customers
  • Presilicon verification (FPGA, Palladium) and Post silicon validation (SoC bring up)
  • Analyze & resolve issues reported by other teams or by customers

Your profile:


  • MS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded software development ideally within the semiconductor industry
  • Leadership / ability to drive a team
  • Advanced Cprogramming skills
  • Good understanding of microcontroller architectures and peripherals (especially ARM cores)
  • Good knowledge of realtime systems and RTOS
  • Handson experience in BT/BLE is required
  • Knowledge of other wireless communication protocols such as IEEE Zigbee/Thread) or Wi-Fi is desired
  • Experience in Linux or in Android operating systems / Linux driver development would be a plus
  • Experience with common serial communication buses (SPI, I2C, UART, SDIO, USB, PCIe)
  • Experience with using laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzers, RF protocol analyzer, signal generator,)
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting/debugging skills
  • Good team player / supportive mindset
  • Proficient written and spoken English skills
  • Willingness to travel to the US, India or China from time to time
