SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER - FRANCE, BASED IN PARIS


We are looking for a
Sales & Marketing Manager / France **with creativity and team spirit to grow with us.
From the gut feeling to the customer presentation, to the sales team training to the launch on the market, you will be involved in every step.

We seek a professional to develop the business of our 3 beauty brands in the French market.


Reporting to the CCO, this position will develop the career paths of playing an integral role in supporting and delivering company values and goals daily.

The manager will effectively leverage experience, knowledge, and skills to encourage innovative thinking and set challenging team goals and objectives balancing brand, company, and team needs.


A key member of our international account executive retail team, you will have a weekly meeting with the national account executives from the US, UK, and Switzerland to share ideas and to learn about the international development in other department stores in the world.


Memo International is seeking a well-rounded brand professional with a solid experience in sales and operations at a national level, ideally with a background in niche and specialty distribution, to lead and evolve the brand presence, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Implement the brands strategies
  • Lead the strategic development with a clear balance of shortterm goals and longterm vision. Understand the development of the niche fragrance category in France and work on opportunities to develop the footprint of the brands.
  • Implement the full 360 plan for the strategic launches.
  • Work in strong and deep relation with the France Retail Manager to guarantee a perfect execution of the 360 animation plan in the department stores and Travel Retail doors.
  • Own the France Overinvestment P&L (investments on top of Staff/training recurrent cost) and work directly with the brand founders and group CFO & CCO to develop ambitious sales plans and optimize profit
  • Develop network of brand supporters to help push brand through all possible communications channels (i.e. press, events, influencer activations)
  • Influence the multibrand team at the headquarters to ensure commercial team has bestinclass selling and brand communications tools
  • Work with the Global webteam based in Geneva, define influencer strategy per launch and ensure PR and Social teams are fully briefed to monitor campaigns, Define France pure players and etailers animation plans.
  • Work closely with the Global Brand Team to adapt, if necessary, the product offer to the France top retailer's needs.
  • Regularly report to upper management and brands founders

DETAILED RESPONSABILITIES:


  • Regularly present to top key accounts (GL, Bon Marché, Printemps), Travel retail operators (Lagardère/DFS) + key independants
  • Own the relationship with key eretailers and negotiate brand visibility and activity according to budgeted sales plan and commercial needs
  • Develop strong working relationships with buying offices so brands receive maximum strategic and operational support from the department stores
  • Negotiate trade marketing (COOP) deals with retail partners to ensure maximum exposure for brands
  • Store events calendar management and support, ensure the teams are fully briefed and supported on all store events from GWP, corporate events, client events, launch events
  • Central to driving the growth of the Brand's customer database, working with our CRM database for the DS counters to localize the France strategy on clientelling activations and planning tactical acquisition campaigns
  • Manage counter refurbishment (working closely with France retail team), new counters, new space openings and all key strategic projects ensuring counters have the correct VM tools and POS elements they need
  • Speak regularly to Beauty Floor Managers in tandem with the France retail manager to help drive business and ensure brands are maximizing all possible opportunities instore
  • 4 X a year Quarterly trips to Geneva + regular meetings with COO and CBO
