Description

Chantier Naval de Marseille (CNdM,) founded in April 2010 by San Giorgio del Porto, operates three dry docks including Forme 10, the largest dry dock in the Mediterranean.

Despite its relatively young age, the yard draws on a long and renowned history.

Over the past two centuries, Marseille has positioned itself as a venue of expertise for ship repair, maintenance and conversion.

Over this time, the structure of companies and facilities has changed as the environment adjusts to the market. CNdM employs 110 people including naval architects, mechanical engineers, skilled workers and specialised technicians.

The yard, alongside its Italian sister company, San Giorgio del Porto (SGdP), operates a total of eight dry docks and over 2 km of equipped repair quays.

It is capable of handling the largest of vessels and is perfectly positioned to support all the needs of the maritime sector, from cruise and offshore to LNG and cargo, providing specialised services and assistance 24/7/365.

The yard is located in the eastern area of the Port of Marseille, the largest in France, and is at the centre of the major transport route that extends from Genoa to Barcelona.

The harbour benefits from direct access to the Western Mediterranean Sea with no tide or lock restrictions, which means vessels up to 11.70m can enter CNdM's docks with no time constraints.

The area enjoys a favourable climate for ship repair activities, with less than 60 days of rain per year on average.

Directly connected to the highway, the yard is close to the city centre (6 km from the Marseille Saint-Charles central railway station) and Marseille Provence Airport (20 km).

International connections are easy, saving owners and operators both time and money.
