Description
The position

Attached to the Sales Department of the company, the mission of the Sales Engineer is to develop revenue and profitability through prospecting and recommending uninterrupted power supply solutions, energy conversion systems, and services to new accounts.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and propose a development plan in line with the company's strategy.
  • Participate in defining and implementing the strategy.
  • Achieve assigned sales objectives.
  • Visit clients and gather information about ongoing projects, understand the client's project team's organization, and identify decisionmaking members and teams.
  • Review and understand the client's specifications in case of a call for tender and provide the project's technical specifications to the sales engineer in charge of estimating the solution to be established.
  • Develop the pricing strategy in collaboration with the sales management, the Pre-Sales team, and the sales engineer.
  • Prepare the commercial offer, with the support of the commercial administration if necessary, including the technical solution, project planning, technical documentation and diagrams, logistics services, contractual conditions, and additional services.
  • Organize offer reviews and lead the project team in addressing technical, commercial, and contractual aspects of the project.
  • Organize the contract review in coordination with the project manager for the successful implementation of the project.
  • Participate in the project acceptance process with the project manager, the testing department, clients, or client representatives.
  • Provide Marketing and Engineering departments with information contributing to market and expected solutions evolution.
  • Track activities and establish sales forecasts (monthly reports, sales forecasts, budget progress).
  • Update the CRM tool to enhance the traceability of offers and client followup.
Qualifications and requirements

  • Original background: Engineering degree in Electrotechnics.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a sector with a strong technical culture and projectoriented nature, including experience in managing large B2B accounts.
  • Resultoriented, strong analytical skills, and able to propose solutions for various technical and commercial challenges.
  • Ability to work in a team and mobilize team members around a project.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English. Computer skills (SAP, MS Office, experience with CRM tools preferred).
