You will join the Global Legal team within Sephora Global HQ, reporting to the Global Business Law Director and managing a Lawyer.

You will work closely with various functions' managers (Global, EME, France, UK, Sephora Collection entity).


You will excel and enjoy this position if you are ready to actively handle the following missions:

  • Distribution: negotiate and draft distribution contracts in French and English: selective distribution (authorized distributor contracts, internet amendments), exclusive distribution, general sales conditions, annual commercial agreements, advise and assist the Negotiations/Purchasing France and Europe teams
  • Consumer law: validate various communication and promotional materials & assets: advertisements (all media), promotions, price displays, loyalty program offers, crossmerchandising, promotional games, etc.
  • Competition: contribute to the rollout of the competition compliance program
  • Supplier contracts, indirect purchasing and general services: drafting/updating and negotiating general purchasing conditions, as well as all types of service, purchasing and partnership contracts
  • Advise and assist the various head office departments, stores, customer service and regulatory departments in these areas, draft recommendations
  • Manage and monitor inspections by authorities in France and other European countries
  • Provide support and expertise to Sephora subsidiaries worldwide and to local lawyers
  • Draft and monitor delegations of authority
  • Manage and monitor prelitigations and litigations in all these areas
  • Train operational teams (prepare materials and run sessions) in all these areas
  • Master's degree in business law with a specialization in Commercial Law (Competition/Consumer/Distribution), DJCE
  • Double degree appreciated (specialized MBA, business school)
  • CRFPA and law firm experience preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, with significant experience in a major company in the distribution sector
  • Perfect command of annual commercial negotiations and excellent knowledge of selective distribution, exclusive distribution and consumer law
  • Dynamic and proactive, solutionoriented and a selfstarter
  • Excellent ability to synthesize information, fine negotiator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Rigor, responsiveness, sense of anticipation, and ability to analyze business issues
  • You know how to deal with urgency and prioritize requests. You enjoy teamwork, while being autonomous and responsible
  • You have a strong sense of confidentiality and responsibility
You are fluent in both French and English (written and spoken
