You have affinity with creating engaging communication and working with media relations and stakeholder management.

To be successful in this role you need strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), and proven advanced training in strategic communications or equivalent as well as 2-5 years of experience of both external and internal communication.

You have experience with leading in change and preferably you are experienced with crisis communication.

You have knowledge in following areas:

  • up-to-date knowledge of the complete media landscape (including the latest trends in social media), activation and measurements
- strong knowledge of using insights to formulate communication, PA or PR strategies, plans and activities to meet IKEA business and receiver needs
- up to date knowledge of how to lead communication by defining, planning, executing and follow-up communication to relevant stakeholders to keep our co-workers well informed, engaged and empowered
- deep understanding of the process for delivering efficient communication and stakeholder plans, tools and the IKEA communication channels
- excellent knowledge of IKEAs brand identity, Tone of Voice, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people, to ensure right representation

Additionally, you demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions.

You hold the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business.

Furthermore, you communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with IKEA tone of voice and you know how to take a leading role in communication with the business goal, co-workers and public trust in focus, together with a proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary.


What you'll be doing day to day


Based on the strategic market communication plan, you drive the implementation and operational communication project support to the market, via Business Partners securing high-quality project support and impactful deliverables.

You are to partner cross-functionally (PR, PA and Co-worker communication) to build communications strategies and tactics that support the implementation of the country growth plan and the execution of the Ingka Retail direction, and drive an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values.


You will:
- be responsible to develop different internal and external communication or Public Affairs assignments
- contribute to the development and delivery of the market communication projects & Media Relations agenda
- contribute to reactive, proactive and activist communication externally
- implement and execute media/stakeholder engagement strategies for reactive, proactive and activist communication
- secure the process for country on-duty phone and media product loans
- drive project management of internal and external communication projects, taking the stakeholder perspective
- work with stakeholder analysis and stakeholder management
- enable effective internal communication and assist in the creation of prerequisites for our leaders and co-workers to be our best ambassadors
- define, plan, create/execute and follow up on internal and external communications
- develop alongside other communicators and tap into wider resources, i.e. social/digital, PR, stakeholder engagement, campaigns etc.
- actively push for improvement of content creation and co-worker engagement, based on trends in communication and the latest developments within the communication field
