Engineering at Nabla

Engineering at Nabla is lean, fast-moving, and deeply technical. Our teams span machine learning, native desktop applications, and platform infrastructure to deliver AI into clinical settings reliably and at scale.

Your Team

At Nabla, product development is led jointly by Engineering and Product, and organized into cross‑functional squads, each focused on a specific product area. Squads bring together product managers, designers, engineers of different profiles, and domain experts, and operate with a high level of ownership.
As a Senior Back‑end Engineer, you'll join one of these squads and contribute end to end to a specific part of the product.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Back‑End Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling Nabla's AI‑driven healthcare platform. You will take ownership of key components of our back‑end systems, collaborate closely with product and machine learning teams, and help shape the technical direction of our infrastructure.

YouPN will:

• Design, build, and evolve our server‑side applications and APIs

• Lead complex integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

• Continuously improve and optimize our back‑end architecture and developer experience

• Guide architectural discussions and influence long‑term technical decisions

Collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Product, and Front‑End teams to deliver impactful end‑to‑end features

• ৫০Mentor junior engineers and contribute to scaling the engineering culture

To give you a sense of the impact:

• Nabla processes 10 billion tokens/month with LLMs

• Every week, hundreds of thousands of clinical notes are automatically generated and synced with EHRs, saving thousands of hours for clinicians

Our APIs serve real‑time workloads in high‑stakes clinical environments

Your DNA

• You have 5+ years of industry experience in back‑end or full‑stack engineering

• You have strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline

• You საჯExp in one or more widely used back‑end languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, etc.)

• You have deep experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems (GraphQL and OpenAPI experience is a plus)

• You are comfortable driving architectural decisions and technical strategy

• You write clean, maintainable code and have high standards for software quality

• You communicate clearly in English

• Bonus: experience with cloud infrastructure, security/compliance, orhealthcare data standards (FHIR)

Where you'll be based
