The S&OP Demand Planner is responsible for the consensus demand plan, inventory planning, and management of finished goods for a specific group of products.

This position coordinates with other Demand Planners for best practices and standardization of process; S&OE Supply Planners to ensure execution of the supply plan, site Materials Management, and other groups to align on inventory strategies and tactics, and metrics to manage the finished goods supply chain.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform data collection and compilation to generate rolling 24month Demand Plan (forecast) which aligns to the business plan, for the assigned product lines and supply sites
  • Conducts monthly demand review meetings where rolling 24month forecast is reviewed, and gaps identified where forecast is not aligned to business needs. Creates a platform within the demand review meeting for decisions to be either made or escalated to an Executive S&OP level.
  • Controls, plans, directs and manages the supply chain to ensure customer demand is balanced between budget changes and marketing intel.
  • Evaluates E&O and ensures it is reviewed, identified, quantified, and justified prior to including inclusion of forecast.
  • Documents entire demand planning process and follows the standardized procedures.
  • Provides KPI reporting on forecast accuracy, bias, and root cause of forecast error, and potential E&O risks.
  • Provides support to the supply planning processes used in other sites and Divisions
  • Identifies and loads planning parameters (forecast, Safety Stock) and data into Oracle Demand Planning/Oracle to facilitate requirements.
  • Provides data and participates in the Sales & Operations Planning process and the Supply Review meetings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College Degree in related field advanced degree a plus
  • APICS certification a plus
  • CPIM Preferred
  • 3 5 years demand planning or supply chain experience
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Prefer experience with ERP systems and planning software
  • Oracle a plus
  • Strong communication skills experience dealing with international sites a plus
  • Sound leadership qualities and demonstrated good judgment
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Proficient to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Microsoft Access skills a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments, both written and verbal. Good negotiation and feedback skills
