Commodity perimeter:

Commodity Management:


  • Support actively project and tender execution
  • Own category expertise: Innovation, technology breakthrough, cost model, benchmark, market trends, supplier panel, LCC options,
  • Manage supplier risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan,
  • Animate commodity maturity improvement plan,
  • Lead Saving Plan by leveraging Design to Cost, LCC, Volumes, ,
  • Ensure AIR (Agile, Inclusive, Responsible) values practices and promotion.
  • Lead Transversal Topics for the whole commodity
  • Be responsible of Supplier(s) and Region(s) animation

Team facilitation and management:


  • Management and development of a team of commodity buyer(s)
  • Ensure Commodity team (hierarchical and functional around the world) animation

Sourcing Strategy:


  • Define and develops commodities strategy with all stakeholders and drives its implementation (even on other product lines)
  • Define supplier target panel inline with Sourcing strategy and makes sure it is implemented
  • Support Tender and Project Phases
  • Lead the selection of suppliers for projects
  • Ensure early involvement of suppliers at tender stage and in the project

Supplier Relationship Management:


  • Manage global supplier panel relationship especially on contractualization (FA; Partnership program...)
  • Manage global supplier QCDT objectives and performance for the commodities
  • Perform regular (min. quarterly) supplier performance review (incl. quality) and solves major issues and secures objectives achievement
  • Drive supplier complex negotiations as appropriate

Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

  • Savings P&L and Cost to Complete
  • Non Conformities Report and On Time Delivery
  • Tenders and Project target achievement

FAI on time (RS&C)

  • Sourcing maturity roadmap improvement

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

Business School or Engineering school and MASTER in Purchasing


Experience

Mandatory:


  • Sourcing professional background,
  • Strong Technical appetite and supplier market expert in the commodity,
  • Ability to deal with complex negotiation and political situation
