Description:
Research activities in bioelectronics department center on the coupling of electronics and biology, which can go both ways. Prof. Ismailova's team working on the designing of new generation organic electronic devices towards wearable diagnostics and therapies. The project will focus on the development of PEDOT-based materials used as efficient transducers in bio-chemical sensing. The main objective of the project is to tune electrochemical properties of the PEDOT materials via molecular synthesis. Various monomers and oxidants participating in the synthesis of PEDOT derivatives will be evaluated to produce biosensing electrodes.
