The Senior Product Design Engineer leads the product design team in a development in full service supplier or in a Built-to-Print program.

He is in charge of the complete design, in compliance with feasibility of product and process, costs, timing, performance and people objectives within the Program Management System requirements.

He is the design interface for Customer, Supplier and Faurecia Engineering.

Main Tasks:

Lead the Product Design Engineers and CAD designers assigned to the program
Lead and organize the Program Design Kickoff meeting
Lead/track Forvia Interiors internal / contractor / expert supplier and Customer design related tasks (e.g. daily Top 5 / design meetings / Kanban)
Organize/participate to Forvia Interiors internal design reviews and customer/supplier design meetings to ensure product & process compliance to OEM/ Forvia Interiors specifications
Ensure the robust design with compliance to product / process design standards (safety, function, styling, technical feasibility, assembly, robustness, weight targets, cost targets, serviceability, recycling,...) with the support of Forvia processes and Experts.
Supervise the CAD data exchange between customer and Forvia Interiors, between suppliers, toolmakers and Forvia Interiors including documentation
Guarantee the design schedule execution for all design work.
Check and validate of design work according to required CAD maturity level in line with program timing
Manage CAD data storage and CAD lifecycle inside of Forvia Interiors Product Data Management system
Participation to Design-FMEA
Ensure the integration of CAE simulation and testing results into the CAD data to ensure product performance
Responsible to validate the perceived quality and the geometry (Reference Positioning System, the tolerance chain) parts and assemblies in coordination with engineering program team

Qualifications:

Master's bachelor's degree in engineering or significant professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in design within an industrial environment, preferably on automotive interior parts
Strong communication and managerial skills
Able to work in a multicultural environment in diverse teams with a good team spirit
French and English fluent level required for customer interface
