As part of the Market & Liquidity Solution (MLS) department, you will join our Fixed Income (FI) Trading team, based in Paris, for a full-time 6-month internship.


The MLS department brings together the trading and securities financing activities of AXA IM and the investment departments of the AXA Group's insurance companies.


Our teams are spread across 4 distinct legal entities, each under the supervision of a regulatory authority: AXA IM GS (UK), AXA IM IF (France), AXA IM Inc (US) and AXA IM Asia Ltd (HK).

MLS - Trading teams cover all financial asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Listed and OTC Derivatives, FX, ETFs)

  • Analysis of market automation standards within the Fixed Income expertise
  • Analysis of data and production of Tableau dashboards in close collaboration with FI traders
  • Improving and optimising daily posttrade reporting
  • Participation in the team's Data Science activities and projects
  • Helping to formalise specifications for our internal tools and creating Excel/Python models to define new functionalities
  • Supporting traders in their daytoday activities

Interaction with all stakeholders of the trading activity (Business Coordination, Business Quality, Low touch team )

What the internship will offer ?

  • This internship will give you the opportunity to thrive in the world of Buy-Side Fixed Income trading with a leading player, to improve your financial and IT knowledge and to play an active part in the life of the desk, contributing to the development of new tools/reporting and improving existing ones. In constant interaction with traders, support functions and banks, you will be able to discover the various frontoffice functions and develop a network of contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Qualifications

  • Student in final year of Master 2 (or equivalent) in applied mathematics, finance, machine learning or Data Science, engineering school

Experience

  • Prior internship experience in a financial environment is desirable but not required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge in programming and data management (Python, SQL, Tableau)
  • Curiosity, reactivity, analytical skills, team spirit, adaptability
  • Autonomy and mathematical rigour
  • Strong numerical and analytical background
  • Interest in data visualisations
