Group Treasury & Metal Risk analyst

in La Défense

  • A Decentralized Corporate department has been created with the incorporation of Nexans Financial and Trading Services serving as a hub for cash pooling, the main interface of the Group in Metal, Money and Currency (FX and IR) Derivative markets, the sole source of borrowings and deposits and FX and Metal hedging of all group subsidiaries at Nexans.
  • Reporting to the Treasury & Metal Business Support Director, the Treasury & Metal risk analyst will be in charge of making sure that Debt/Cash Forecast, FX & Metal exposures within the Group are properly identified and managed according to Nexans rules and procedures.

Responsibilities And Tasks:


Middle-Office Responsibilities:


  • Analyzing and challenging entities KPI's reports (Treasury, FX, Metal Reports) and providing a consolidated and comprehensive report alerting on deviations
  • Contributing in the process of improving the Group Debt/Cash forecast accuracy
  • Performing operational controls such as but not limited to margin, portfolio, backtoback, USD netting, return on loan and deposits etc) related to the Front-Office activity
  • Performing Month end Closing processes and providing accounting departments with (included but not limited to) MtM of the FX/Credit/Commodities Derivatives and providing any explanation requested by Consolidation Dept
  • Monitoring the margin call requirements (Metals)

Risk Management/Business Performance and Partnering Responsibilities:

  • Providing training and advice to units on risk management in terms of Metal/FX
  • Supporting and assisting units in the implementation of a proper Metal/FX risk management, in terms of standardization of processes/tools, strengthening the risk identification and monitoring at local level

What We Are Looking For:


  • Master degree in Corporate finance or engineer
  • At least 5 years' experience in financial department of a multinational company environment
  • Strong team player with excellent presentation and communication skills, pragmatic and able to challenge positively and analytical skills
  • Work in compliance with internal procedures and defined timeline and objectives
  • Excellent IT skills and fluent English are necessary
  • Excellent in Excel/Powerpoint skills are mandatory
  • Strong interest in Financial Markets
