MISSION

The Batteries innovation PM is in charge of internal program aimed at bringing a Battery Product/Process definition for the at readiness level to assess PO potential on this market.

The scope of the program is included in the Battery task force global program and will bring the technological bricks allowing supporting the task force market/product analysis.

He works closely with the Chief engineer of the product Line to deploy products defined on the roadmap, and coordinate the resources allocated by the various Functions (Mechatronics, Industrial, Purchasing, Quality, HR),

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Build technical specification together with the support functions of Customer centers and Business Development (using RFI/RFQ informations, discussions with OEM's, Suppliers, consultancy and from benchmarking).
Drives the project team and coordinate activities to ensure flawless execution of PO process
Interfaces with the Research Director / Chief engineers on all project issues, ensures good communication and information flow between the project team and Functions
Prepares and presents projects to gate reviews (and in any other program/project review as necessary) with the respect of process and tools (ex : Inpro-R).
Identifies risks during the development phases and escalate to management
Support sales and business development activities as well as industrial CAPEX and needed footprint.
Establishes budget and manages development, tooling and other expenses of project within budget objectives and optimizing cash.
Controls the developments costs and billable hours.
Sets project planning, anticipates deviations, risks and takes corrective actions.
Run the design reviews and publish project decision matrix justifications
Participate to discussions with potential partners, customers, suppliers to support specification evolutions for this fats changing emobility market and propose PO product line modularity and correct price positioning / innovation content.
Establish with HR and HSE the training and habilitations that are needed
Establish with suppliers and technical teams the testing strategy (in house/outsource/partnerships )

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background

Above 10 years in Research / Project Management
Experience leading an R&D team or group

Job Technical skills

Solid understanding of the technology (in which project is developed
Good knowledge of automotive standards
Strong knowledge and experience of Project Management
Multidisciplinary competences (mechanics, thermal mgt, electronics and software)
Understand system optimization
Understand design for manufacturing

Job Soft skills

Ability to work efficiently
Ability to find trade offs
Open minded, can think out of the box
Delivers clear and easy to understand information
Comfortable communicating to different types of audiences, upwards and downwards
