    ESS division for Saft strengthens the company's ability to serve the global energy storage market and
    to support the transition to renewable energy.

    Saft Energy Storage System division is hiring his/her Global Category Manager responsible for "AC
    Equipment" category.

    Job Purpose

    As part of the Global Sourcing organization for the division ESS, the Category Manager will have the
    following responsibilities on his/her category:

    • Propose and plan the purchasing strategy.

    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers in international context.

    • Support the projects for procurement activities.

    • Communicate and deploy the strategy in the regions.

    • Manage sourcing activities and ensure commercial supplier performance.

    • Identify new opportunities for cost reduction and monitor their implementation in the regions.

    • Survey the market to enable supply at the best costs and best conditions.

    • Source, select, qualify new suppliers to develop strategic partnerships and capture innovation.

    • Manage the supplier relationship and performance (Regular meetings, KPIs, QBRs, ...).

    • Manage and lead procurement initiatives for the division.

    • Animate and support the sourcing community.

    • Ensure application of company purchasing guidelines in all department activities.

    • Participate in audits, budget construction and reporting.

    • Propose solutions to improve profit.

    Required profile


    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or engineering school.

    • Master's degree in Purchasing preferred.

    • Fluent in English, working experience abroad preferred.

    • Experience: At least 7 years in purchasing with relevant experience in category management.

    • Advanced contracting and/or purchasing, data collection and reporting, spreadsheet
    techniques.

    • Good understanding of business principles with comparative quantitative and communicative
    skills.
