About the role:


As part of the Global Botanical and Extract Taste Centre of Excellence and the Regional Taste Development team, propose, lead and execute innovation and customer projects for the development of consumer preferred taste solutions.


Key responsibilities:


  • Managing project from idea card to industrialization
  • The role will be 50% dedicated to Innovation and learning the botanicals and extract technology, 50% regional projects linked to customer brief
  • Supply of raw materials by working with procurement, or supply chain
  • Start Design and Running action laboratory projects using processes such as extraction and fractionation to develop taste products
  • Identify sustainability opportunities within existing and proposed products
  • Scale up of laboratory processes and products to pilot plant phase
  • Work in partnership with the Analytical department to identify appropriate testing, and interpretation of analytical data ( GC, GC/MS, HPLC, LC-MS etc)
  • Process improvement projects to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the lab technician, and the other team members

Qualifications and skills:


  • Masters in Organic Chemistry or similar
  • Experience in Taste Technology
  • Willingness and ability to taste for sensory purposes
  • French and English language written and verbal
  • 2+ years' experience in similar roles ideally but there is flexibility
