Elaborating and managing collaborative projects with European partners from Industry and Research are a key lever of funding and innovation for the main activities of our department focusing on green hydrogen production by electrolysis, carbon conversion, energy systems design, operation and piloting and thermal management of industrial processes.

Such projects federate often 10 to 20 partners.

Currently, the Departement of Thermal, Conversion and Hydrogen Technologies (DTCH) is involved in more than 25 projects and coordinates, for example the 3 following projects:


Leading such huge innovative projects with several partners in different European countries is a challenging task that is currently conducted inside the laboratories with Technical Experts.

In order to develop synergies across our projects and capitalize within all laboratories, activities and practices, we are looking for an Innovative European Projects Contract Manager to centrally manage newly funded projects.


What you will do:


  • Organize the interaction between the partners of the European projects according to the project timelines and objectives (kick off and regular consortium meetings, specific meetings if required to deal with specific issues such as difficulties related to execution)
  • Contribute actively to the delivery management process:
  • Anticipate and prepare the CEA internal progress meetings in coordination with all internal actors and support services (financial, legal departments)
  • Anticipate and prepare the Consortium Progress Meetings (including reminder to partners in charge of the preparation, crisis management if required) to guarantee ontime delivery.
  • Contribute to the regular internal reporting (workplan, budget) according to the project's and European Commission reporting timelines and guidelines.
  • Elaborate the regular reporting to the European Union (workplan, budget, contracts)
  • Participate to the elaboration of the written deliverables related to the Communication of projects' results and Dissemination activities.
  • Capitalize best practices to identify overall improvement opportunities in our internal processes & implement your action plan, with the internal teams at the Department level.

What you bring to the table:

  • Very strong communication and collaborative skills, in French and in English (additional languages would be a bonus) and with various interlocutors (finance, legal technical, etc)
  • Autonomy & Sense of accountability
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences required to collaborate with partners of all European countries
  • Leadership and negotiation skills
  • Insights in public funded research in the field of Decarbonation Technologies for Renewable Energy
