Agronomical Data Analyst Scientist (D/F/M) - France or Hungary
Our EMEA Production Research Team for Row Crop is opening a position of Agronomical Data Analyst & Scientist (F/M).


The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

  • Independently develop algorithms in R and/or Python for data quality processes, analyze and visualize large multivariate datasets;
  • Design and prototype statistical models to be used for data mining and machine learning steps;
  • Work with mentor and other researchers and scientists to quickly gain domain knowledge and understand business processes.

Required Qualifications:


  • MS with 5+ years experience in Agronomy, Plant Sciences or Biostatistics + strong data analytics attitude or BS/MS in Statistical or mathematical modeling (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering)
  • Fluent in English to interact at EMEA et Global Team level.
  • Proven data science experience in the life sciences field. Strong statistical skills. Extensive experience processing, analyzing and visualizing large datasets.
  • Fluency in using Python and/or R for data manipulation, computational statistics, and model development;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within diverse crossfunctional teams;
  • Ability to transform big, complex biological or unstructired data into structured with meaningfull insights
  • Execute responsibilities with knowledge, integrity, commitment, and excellence.
- "Nice to have" Qualifications:_

  • Knowledge and experience in farming, plant breeding or physiology, agronomy or genetics;
  • Familiarity with multiple regression techniques, multivariate analysis, mixed models, ensemble methods, spatiotemporal models, and/or simulations;
  • Technical experience working with Github, Google Cloud (BigQuery)
  • Experience with visualizitions software Tableau or Spotfire
  • Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with machine learning analysis techniques; predictive analytics
  • PhD in related field (Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Biostatistics,...)
