Position Duties
Lead the entire technological dimension of the studio and be at the center of our strategy & manage a currently small team of 5 people that is destined to grow fast.
Responsibilities:
- Be the representative of the studio's technological vertical within the management team.
- Be responsible for all Tech departments : Game Tech, IT, and Dev-Ops.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve the studio's strategic objectives, particularly regarding technological choices / risks, structuring, development, and growth of Tech departments.
- Assume full responsibility and be the guarantor of the technological, architectural, and process choices of the studio's Tech departments.
- Support Team to maintain and improve standard work procedures and methodologies.
- Contribute to establishing best practices to continuously increase team productivity.
- Work in partnership with production to eliminate obstacles and regularly achieve goals.
- Evaluate the profitability of projects, technologies, and services, following potential risks.
- Conduct technical design reviews to identify potential issues with our game technology, IT, or Dev-Ops solutions.
- Provide support to teams in case of technical challenges encountered.
- Participate in code reviews and team training to help achieve higher levels of excellence.
- Support the horizontal growth of the studio by conducting technical interviews in collaboration with Tech managers.
- Maintain a global vision of emerging technologies through continuous technological monitoring.
Profile sought:
- At least 4 years of experience as a game developer on Unity.
- At least 2 years of experience as a development manager or CTO in a video game studio.
- At least 2 years of experience as a member of the management team.
- Experience in multiplayer game systems, network replication, and engine bases.
- Demonstrable skills in promoting cooperation, alignment, and diversity among teams.
- Ability to lead and inspire other team members.
- Good understanding of Agile philosophy, concepts, and methodologies.
- French and English language proficiency.
- A taste for teamwork, in a very friendly atmosphere.
- An empathic personality with a desire to help colleagues grow.
- Passion for video games
Desirable additional qualifications:
- Experience on mobile development platforms.
- Experience in tool development, IT, and DevOps.
- Experience in performance optimization and/or graphic programming.
- Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
