    Role located either in Elven (Brittany – France), or in Barneveld (Gelderland – Netherlands).

    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development & Technical Support Project Manager to join our dynamic team at Symrise Pet Food Nutrition. In this role, you will provide technical support to our EAME sales and marketing teams, as well as our valued customers. You will also play a crucial role in managing projects to qualify new products, raw materials, equipment, and processes. Additionally, you will provide assistance to operational functions across our regional production facilities in the nutrition network.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    Providing technical support to EAME sales and marketing teams and EAME-based customers:

  • You will be responsible for maintaining and updating technical product documentation formats and content.
  • You will propose and execute customer-driven application projects for Nutrition products, which may include formula adaptation/development, extrusion, and canning.
  • Delivering technical support and education to customers, sales, and marketing teams will be part of your role.
  • Managing projects for the qualification of new products, raw materials, equipment, and processes:

  • Your responsibilities will involve analyzing, challenging, and completing project briefs.
  • You will monitor and evaluate resources, risks, and timing associated with the projects.
  • Contributing to sustainability initiatives, including carbon emission reduction, will be expected.
  • Applying development procedures and suggesting initiatives to drive project success.
  • You will coordinate and manage project activities between key stakeholder departments, including Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, Purchase, and Global R&D.
  • Conducting experiments and tests in pilot halls, subcontractors, and other technical centers will be part of your duties.
  • You will conduct tests at an industrial scale in Symrise subsidiaries.
  • Analyzing and summarizing the results, you will present them to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the global Nutrition R&D team and innovation pipeline as the key contact for the EAME region.
  • Consolidating knowledge gained from projects will be a part of your responsibilities.
  • Assisting operational functions for regional production facilities in the nutrition network:

  • Providing technical support to production and engineering teams will be one of your key tasks.
  • Adapting formulas and processes as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Supporting Quality Assurance (QA) with the interpretation of technical results.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree (MSc preferred).
  • A DOUBLE REQUIREMENT is essential : 5 years experience in a technical field related to nutrition and/or food science or related fields completed with a proven background in customer support/application within the food or pet food industry.
  • Strong communication skills , both verbal and written, are crucial for effectively discussing technical topics. The candidate must be capable of adapting the complexity level of their communication to suit the audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams .
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, and applicants with a working knowledge of Dutch or French will have an added advantage.
  • The position involves frequent travel between sites, with up to 40% travel expected.
