Your role:

We're seeking a proactive Operations Manager to steer Fastned operations in France.

You will be part of the broader Network Operations team responsible for ensuring we provide the best charging experience to our customers and overseeing our network of chargers in all 6 countries where we operate.


In this position, you will balance the need for local optimization with adherence to the standards defined by the central teams in Amsterdam and ensure we comply with local regulations.

You will work jointly with local and central leadership to optimize the charging experience for our customers within your market.


We provide you with the freedom to initiate and lead, and encourage you to bridge the gap between central decision-making and local implementation.

Your overall responsibilities include:

Project Coordination: Oversee and execute projects related to station improvements, ensuring seamless implementation and cross-team collaboration. Projects may involve station amenities, cleaning and winter service strategy, among others.

Performance optimization: Closely monitor country-specific metrics and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to optimize them. Key metrics include uptime, session success rate, and idling.

Process Development and Optimisation: Design effective processes and structures to meet complex external demands, such as those from tendering authorities, and to ensure streamlined communication flows.

Partner Relationships: Manage regulatory compliance and cultivate strong relationships with key partners, including tendering authorities, landowners and subcontractors with an emphasis on exceeding expectations and fulfilling commitments.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with local regulations, assessing their impact on our charging network and proposing appropriate actions, for instance, certification of DC meters, rollout of payment terminals, etc.

Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about local competitors, providing insights that can be factored into Fastned's strategy development.

Partnering: Support central teams to implement key initiatives in your market. This may involve tasks such as assisting in the setup of local energy contracts or establishing partnerships with Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) in your market.


Job requirements:


In order to be successful in this role you bring along a highly entrepreneurial mindset - we want our employees to "think like a founder".

You thrive in taking ownership of the operational aspects of our business to help create best-in-class user experiences.

  • 25 years of operations or related experience with a proven track record of delivering key projects.
  • Strong implementation skills and experience designing efficient processes.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven negotiation skills and an ability to hold external service providers to high standards.
  • Genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned's mission.
  • Proficiency in using Google Sheets or similar tools for data management and analysis.
  • Experience with querying and analyzing data using SQL.
