Description

OBSERVABLE UNIVERSE OF THE COMPANY

Our client, a world's leading steel and mining company, works towards sustainable processes to produce the steels for tomorrow's world.

90% of total CO2 emissions for steel production are coming from Ironmaking processes. The development of hydrogen direct reduction for steelmaking will generate new type of dusts, sludges and slags.

The management of these new by-products, including internal recycling or external valorization is crutial for the implementation of new processes.

To help meet the challenge of decarbonizing steel production, our client is looking for a senior R&D engineer to work on innovative solutions to recycle or valorize metallurgical slags.

MISSIONS
You will capitalise on your background in material science and your expertise in recycling of metallurgical slags to:

  • Validate existing recovery routes with new co-products
  • Define new valorization paths for coproducts that cannot be used in existing recovery processes
  • Simulate the energy and financial costs of replacing raw materials with coproducts
  • Act as a liaison between R&D, plants' CTO and sales teams
