Job title of the line manager: Operations Director Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To manage and/or coordinate a logistics site, and provide operational oversight of all the activities involved in delivering the service in accordance with the budget and targets set in order to maintain and increase customer loyalty.

Scope of Activities

  • Manage the customer interface on a daily basis, and ensure that customer satisfaction targets are met
  • Optimize the activity: analyze malfunctions, and propose/implement corrective actions in agreement with the flow manager, QHSE support services and/or customers.
  • Anticipate demand, and recommend innovative solutions
  • Contribute to setting and monitoring the budget for your scope of responsibility
  • Implement the resources required to achieve the targets and performance level set
  • Contribute to negotiating contracts with targeted local customers and/or suppliers
  • Supervise and coordinate project delivery
  • Lead, manage and unite your teams(s)
  • Carry out human resources management tasks (hiring, training, annual appraisals and development of highpotential individuals)
  • Manage close working relationships with the social partners
  • Ensure effective internal, external, vertical and horizontal communication
  • Provide change management
  • Implement the performance indicators required for activity monitoring, and report the results
  • Lead and manage a team, ensuring that employee skills are developed in line with business developments and the needs of the organization


The activities are to be adapted for employees on work/study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.


  • Address and resolve QSE alerts raised by personnel
  • Ensure that your team has the skills required for their jobs (QSE training, accreditations, etc.)
  • Support QSE maturity development in your sector
