Job Description

We see reinventing financing as a significant tech challenge, which is why we established October as a tech and data-driven startup. Currently, a team of 18 developers is dedicated to creating the best financing experience in close collaboration with the Product team.

At SBS Digital Lending, we have a strong affinity for JavaScript. Our entire stack is JS-based, utilizing TypeScript, MongoDB, Vue.js, and React Native. We operate on AWS, employing Terraform and Github Actions for deployment. Ownership and mentoring are core values here, ensuring quality code delivery and fostering skill enhancement for developers.

We embrace the Scrum methodology, organizing Tech and Product teams into 3 squads.

Your daily work:

• Prepare technical specifications for Product team-defined features
• Develop clean TypeScript code with corresponding tests
• Contribute to building a scalable AWS infrastructure
• Create a robust API for our Web app and SaaS clients
• Review code authored by peers
• Enhance our product, technical stack, and processes
• Support junior developers' growth
• Architect and deliver complex features or systems

Qualifications

What we require:

• Experience in backend development using OOP or functional programming
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with a DBMS (SQL or NoSQL)
• Understanding of code quality best practices (tests, CI/CD)
• Curiosity and eagerness to expand technical skills
• English fluency for communication and work
