Job Description:


  • Attend preinspection planning meetings/progress meetings.
  • Responsible for all Electrical, Instrumentation and Inspections both onsite and offsite (Fabrication Facility)
  • Be familiar with the Suppliers/Subcontractors Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans and procedures.
  • Review / Approval of As Built drawings, Electrical Diagrams, Instrument Data sheets
  • Implement a tracking mechanism to count all E&I deficiencies / repair %.
  • Prepare and submit Supplier/Subcontractor visit reports.
  • Identification and raising of nonconformance reports and expedite their close out.
  • Implement receipt inspection inclusive of certification review / approval for materials and consumables.
  • Visual checks, Blast grade checks, DFT, WFT, Thickness checks / verifications.
  • Implementation and management of testing requests associated.
  • Act as contract focal point for all areas certification to ensure fulfilment regarding minimum certification requirements.
  • Review / Approval of Inspection Test Records.
  • Review Supplier/Subcontractor Fabrication / Certification / Data Dossiers and endorse as appropriate / required.
  • To report promptly to the contract Quality Manager on all matters related to inspection, test and release.
  • Provide feedback on Supplier/Subcontractor performance upon request.
  • Ensure As Built drawings are accurate, valid and correct by verifying the build by walk downs and aid with completions process.
  • Immediately stop and report inappropriate working practices.
  • To participate (as necessary) in management visits/audits as requested.
  • Validate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites, suppliers, and/or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the project Quality team.
  • Inspection of materials and review of material certification prior to delivery to fabricators/manufacturers where required.
  • Inspection of temporary equipment (wellhead rentals, portable equipment) prior to release.
  • Verification that appropriate approvals are in place prior to commencement of specific works (e.g. procedures are approved, training certification)
  • Review and endorsement of quality records raised as an output from fabrication/manufacturing and installation processes.
  • Generation of inspection and progress reports as required.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests.
  • Final inspection release and issue of inspection release notes.

Qualifications:


  • Inspection certificate in relevant disciple (e.g. welding/electrical/mechanical) from recognised industry or national body
