    Position Overview:

    As a DevOps Engineer, you will hold a critical role in a dynamic, multicultural, and internationally diverse environment. With English as the working language, you will operate within an agile framework, primarily focused on Kanban. Your responsibilities will include automating cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, managing deployments through Kubernetes, and spearheading efforts to boost infrastructure reliability and performance. By leading a skilled team of engineers and offering cross-functional technical guidance, you will ensure that our platform operates flawlessly and consistently stays ahead in technological innovation and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    Cloud-Native Development and Automation:
    • Design, implement, and manage cloud-native solutions in line with architectural standards.
    • Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK, AWS CloudFormation, or Terraform to enhance deployment processes.
    • Automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes to improve service deployment and scalability.
    Advanced Observability in Cloud-Native Environments:
    • Implement and manage observability frameworks tailored for cloud-native applications.
    • Utilize tools and standards like OpenSearch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and OpenTracing to enhance monitoring and application performance optimization.
    • Create and manage dashboards and alerts based on key performance metrics, using observability data to proactively address issues and guide architectural and operational improvements.
    Support and Collaboration:
    • Assist and guide a team of engineers in adhering to best practices, clarifying specifications, and fostering professional growth.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that infrastructure and backend developments align with product and design requirements, contributing to the platform's strategy and innovation.
    Continuous Learning:
    • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and observability.
    • Participate in internal training sessions, workshops, and code reviews.

    Requirements

    Essential:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • At least 3 years experience in cloud architecture, cloud-native development, or operations, preferably with AWS.
    • Minimum 2 years experience with observability tools like OpenSearch and OpenTracing.
    • Experience in building cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes on AWS.
    • Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Kanban or SCRUM.
    • Proficiency in TypeScript or Python.
    • Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and AWS core services.
    Nice to Have:
    • Understanding of SaaS application development.
    • Knowledge of database systems like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
    • Experience as a Full Stack Developer using , Java, or Python.
    • Experience with workflow automation leveraging AI or LowCode solutions.
    Important Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with external developers and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks efficiently.
    • Proficient in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
    • Skilled in creating a positive and collaborative team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and coordinate smoothly with external teams.
    • Capable of handling project documentation thoroughly and accurately.
