Role Descriptor


You will be a Human Resources Business Advisor, and you will manage and lead the HR needs of assigned client groups.

You will identify and develop solutions based on business priorities and consult with all levels of management and employees on the entire spectrum of HR topics.


You will also support the team (2 HRBAs + the HR Country Head) in gathering and analysing data and designing presentations and communications for managers and employees across levels across various themes.

You will also help to organise projects and timelines to support the team as well as play a role in projects and other key responsibilities for the team.


Key Responsibilities

HR Business Advisor:

  • Build partnerships, establish and maintain productive business relationships with key clients, stakeholders and HR colleagues.
  • Provide guidance/advice to the business on HR related areas such as learning and development,, performance, employee questions or issues, needed.
  • Provide trusted advice to employees across senior and junior levels across various lines of businesses that is tailored to client expectations.
  • Partner with Corporate Employee Relations to manage specific employee or manager employee relations cases.
  • Partner with line of business HR Business Partners to manage the year end compensation planning process while ensuring a strong link to performance. Understand compensation regulatory environment, market conditions and client's compensation needs on an ongoing basis.

Support for HRBA team and HR Country Head:

  • Gathering and analysing data from systems and other teams as necessary and translating/designing this into presentations/decks, reporting, and/or communications to various audiences.
  • Support global HR initiatives in France (e.g. Wellness Agenda, Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Strategy, Performance Development, Learning and Development)
  • Support on HR projects on local French legislation and labour law to ensure compliance and appropriate implementation.
  • Actively partner with the HR operations group in Paris to create innovative solutions tailored to meet client needs.
  • Assist with global mobility cases and internal HR and business stakeholders to ensure new and existing employees are fully supported in transfers, relocations and assignments.
  • Manage and review documents/systems mapped to our Firmwide Operating Standards.
  • Manage local HR Policy updates as and when required
  • Manage risk by implementing controls in all HR activity

  • Demonstrated ability to provide support or assistance on issues such as: Employee Relations, Diversity, Compensation, HR policies and Performance & Talent Management
  • Strong data analytical / reporting skills

- you can easily shift between tasks

  • Ability to show your experience and desire to plan and follow through on projects
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and partner effectively with multiple client areas and HR on issues across the business.
  • Understanding of financial services industry preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining proactive and flexible in style
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to handle large amounts of confidential/sensitive information on a frequent basis
  • Handson experience in Excel, Word and knowledge of PowerPoint, Access
  • Strong risk and control mind set
  • Fluent French and English speaking and writing is required
