My English School is a network of schools in Italy, France and Spain, with over 40 schools.

We currently have three centres in France (Lyon, Dijon and Bordeaux Mérignac) and we will be opening centres in other French cities in the near future.

MyES Lyon is looking for new teacher to join our team, starting on 10-15 hours per week as a freelancer, with the possibility for hours to grow, and potentially progress to a CDD/CDI contract.

Our centre is open from 10am-9pm during the week, and Saturdays from 10am-1pm.

As evenings are our most popular time for classes, a teacher should expect to teach 3-4 evenings per week, and Saturdays on rotation.

Our timetable is flexible and planned three weeks in advance, by the Director of Studies.

We are looking for someone who is:

passionate communicative language teacher with a certification and at least 1 year of experience

- able to build rapport with students and facilitate conversation
- keen to participate in the life of the school, sharing ideas and running your own events
- someone who brings lots of energy and positivity to work

Nativelevel English speaker
Qualified English teacher with a CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL or other TEFL certification
Have at least one year of previous teaching experience

Contracted roles start at €15,80 per hour with benefits such as paid holidays, sick pay, health insurance, subsidised transportation costs, and all the other benefits of a CDD/CDI contract.

Teachers are also eligible for performance-based quarterly incentives after one year with the company.

Freelance roles allow a higher hourly rate (€20-23) but without the additional benefits of a contract.

Even on a freelance agreement, with the right availability, we are able to guarantee a fixed number of weekly/monthly hours.

We offer all our teachers full initial training and ongoing professional development, with regular observations, an ongoing training plan, and quarterly Looking Back Looking Forward professional development sessions, plus future opportunities in a growing company, including corporate teaching in companies, projects on behalf of MyES, and the opportunity to grow into new roles.

Please note that we can only accept applicants with permission to work in France (either EU passport holders or French residents).

Salary:
From 15.80€ per hour
