About the job

The European C&P team deals every year with a total milk bill of around 600m€, purchases 1.7 bn liters of milk and sells 0.2 bn liters of milk and 50 ktons of cream.

In that context, the stakes are high in terms of optimizing the use of milk throughout Europe and optimizing its cost, both through planning efficiency and milk, cream & other components value optimization.

The European C&P team is thus looking for a EU Milk Efficiency Manager.


In this role:
1) You will be in charge of the EU milk planning animation to manage the best possible outcome in the milk bill across Europe.

You will act over 2 horizons:

  • Mid term horizon: you will coordinate the quarterly rolling forecast (RF) process at EU level performed in Deep Blue, you will consolidate the data, you will be in charge of identifying the shortage risk and the synergies opportunities between countries

Long term horizon:
You will be in charge of the Strategic planning coordination.

You will issue recommendation in terms of milk coverage strategy (in link with FRM and the EU S&OP team), in terms of milk balancing across EU, and production allocation altogether with finance to ensure a total COGS approach optimization.

You will make sure that the recommendation when decided are implemented and that the impacts are measured and monitored.2) You will be the Product Owner on business side of the newly inhouse developed solver "Deep Blue".DeepBlue tool aims at optimizing milk value through optimized planning and allocation across EU, optimized milk & ingredients sourcing and optimized use or resale of milk & ingredients, on short, mid & long term.


As product owner, you will:
- be the contact between the development team and the end users;
- be accountable for the continuous tool development
- be in charge of the process and governance
- be the knowledge keeper and accountable for the training of users3) You will also be the Business Analyst for European projects around milk valorization and issue business cases valorization & feasibility in connection with finance and be as such a key stakeholder to the MVU (Milk Valorization Unit).Key challenges

  • Lead multiple projects streams at the same time
  • Be the link between IT and the business, speak both languages
  • Translate business requirements to technological solution
  • Understand milk complexity and milk balancing
  • Understand the situation of every country and have a global EU vision
  • Facilitate cross functional work
  • Balancing attention to detail with big picture thinking
About you
We are looking for someone

  • With an Engineer degree in a related field
  • With 5 years of work experience preferably in a milk environment
  • Curious and tech savvy on new tech and its opportunities
  • Knowledgeable on product development framework, for example SCRUM. Project management skills
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Analytical skills
  • Transversal animation skills
  • Good understanding of the Rolling forecast process
  • Self sufficient, tenacious, proactive and thorough
  • Able to guide change initiatives and be persuasive

The position can be held remotely, with frequent travels to Paris.
