YOUR TEAM


Within the The European Green Sky Directorate, the Programmes and Planning Unit is responsible for establishing effective cooperation with European organisations and stakeholders, in support of their activities, through agreements and work programmes.

The Unit also supports and coordinates the EGSD Work Programme and Business Planning, including the definition of the programme management methodology in EGSD to master staff planning and budget.


YOUR ROLE

Your role will be to:

  • Capture project's needs, and coordinate activities including the support to the definition of highlevel stakeholders' objectives and key performance areas to ensure projects feasibility.
  • Collect requirements and define technical specifications for new concepts and systems (including operational, regulatory, safety, design, environmental and validation requirements).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and with European Programmes and associated institutions (European Commission DG MOVE, DG DEFIS, EUSPA, EASA, ESA and others), focusing on topics relevant for aviation.
  • Produce or contribute to highlevel technical documentation (i.e. ConOps, international publications, etc) including performance and technical reports.
  • Provide recommendations, contribute to projects and working groups in field of expertise, and participate in various aviation related activities and events to increase awareness of EUROCONTROL's contribution to these projects.
  • Be constantly on the lookout for and assess operational and technological trends and identify most promising approaches to leverage activities.
  • Carry out any other tasks in line with the main purpose of the job.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • University degree of at least 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g. Aerospace, ATM, Operations and Engineering, etc) or professional training of an equivalent level.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, ideally with experience or knowledge of EU/SESAR/Research projects.
  • Proficiency with satellite navigation (avionics or aircraft manufacturing, air navigation service provision, etc)
  • Experience or knowledge of GNSS systems.
  • Experience or knowledge in policy and/or programme aspects related to the aviation domain.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge in at least two of the following domains:
  • Air Traffic Management / Air Navigation Services (ATM/ANS)
  • Satellite navigation systems and avionics/earth observation systems
  • Aviationindustry regulatory framework
  • Airspace users
  • Project management skills.
  • Technical writing and presentation skills (English).
  • Communication: You adapt your communication to different situations and audiences.
  • Networking: You know how to maintain and expand effective networks.
  • Influencing: You tailor your style and approach to influence others.
  • Result focus: You seek to improve personal performance.
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
