This Visual Merchandising internship is made for you

What is this internship about?

Within the
Retail Marketing department, the
Visual Merchandising team's mission is to display products in a retail space in a way that makes them visually appealing and desirable.

Visual Merchandisers use floorplan placement, color, lighting, product and marketing displays and technology to create an experience and attract customers.

At Salomon they are collaborating with many teams: store designers, retail operations specialists, marketing specialists, merchandisers

As a
Visual Merchandising intern, you will report directly to the Visual Merchandising Manager.

Your main activities will include:

Help create the
visual merchandising guidelines for all store formats. (Window displays, product displays, color stories) and update the floorplans and capacity of existing stores each season
Participate in the
planning of our stores refits or the opening of our new stores
Participate in the
setup of the new or refitted stores the week before their official opening (arranging products, taking pictures for the opening report )
Take care of our headquarter
"retail lab" by unpacking the samples, merchandising them in this fake retail space, testing merchandising options, dressing mannequins
Support the stores to improve their visual merchandising through
virtual or field visits

You may be invited to participate in other marketing projects, like the Sales Launch meeting for the Fall-Winter 2023 collection, depending on the team's agenda and your own workload and interests.

Qualifications

Education:

currently studying for a Bachelor or Masters' degree in a business school or university, with a major in marketing or visual merchandising or interior design or graphic design.

Languages:
an intermediate level of English is required, French is a plus.

IT skills:
good command of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).

Desired skills: you are autonomous, curious and a team player. You know how to use your creativity to improve sales. You like and potentially have a first experience in the outdoor industry, the retail environment and project management.

The « + »:
a driving license is a big plus as you will have to travel to our stores with your manager.

Additional Information

Full-time paid internship located in Annecy (74), France.
An internship agreement is
mandatory.

Starting date: 05 August 2024

Duration : 6 months
