Meta is seeking Research Engineers to join FAIR, our world-class research lab. We are seeking individuals to work on our "Objective-driven AI" agenda.

Our goal is to enable large language models (LLMs) with better planning and reasoning capabilities, improve their test-time safety, and reduce their non-factual hallucination.

Research Engineer, Core Learning Responsibilities:

Collaborate on the development of our objectivedriven AI agenda, where our goal is to improve the planning and reasoning capabilities of LLMs.
Develop the code infrastructure needed to train and test objectivedriven AI ideas efficiently at scale.
Collaborate on opensourcing our scientific breakthroughs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Effective programming skills (Python, C++)
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters degree with relevant research experience in Computer Science or related fields.
Solid background on the foundations of machine learning.
Experience in working on complex machine learning code bases at scale.
Experience collaborating within a research team to solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadauthored publications at peerreviewed conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR or similar)
Has obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Demonstrated machine learning experience in one of the following: internship, opensource activity, data science competitions
Experience in creating highperformance implementations in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, CUDA)
